– OUR STORY

Born from Faith,

Courage and Resilience

The Factor of Ten Foundation exists because of one family’s journey — and their conviction that no other family should face it alone.

A Diagnosis That

Became a Calling

In 2023, Jonathan Muthige was diagnosed with Stage 3 aggressive prostate cancer. What began as unexplained shoulder pain during a family holiday became a life-altering discovery following a PSA test that revealed critically elevated levels.

What struck him most was not only the diagnosis, but how unprepared and uninformed his family felt.

Together with his wife, Nwabisa, and their children, they navigated fear, uncertainty, medical decisions, and emotional strain. After robotic surgery and months of recovery, their journey became more than survival, it became purpose.

They realised that too many families face similar battles without access to information, early detection, mental health support, or strong care networks.

From that shared family experience, the Factor of Ten Foundation was born.

Their story stands as proof that even the most difficult diagnoses can become catalysts for hope, education, and lasting change.

— Our Philosophy

More Than

Just a Name

Factor of Ten represents a bold philosophy of exponential impact.

It is the belief that meaningful change does not only happen through large interventions, but through small, intentional acts multiplied by courage and collective responsibility.

It is about daring to think and act ten times bigger.

When individuals give just a fraction of their time, voice, or resources with clarity of purpose, impact ripples outward, transforming systems, communities, and futures.

This is not about doing more.
It is about doing what matters deeply, intentionally, and collectively.

“When education becomes practical, when advocacy becomes relentless, and when support systems become inclusive and sustainable, impact multiplies. This is Tenfold Impact.”
